Friday vote-day

It’s Friday again and I’ve done my bit and exercised my right to vote.  I did not have far to go unlike those who came home to vote from all over the world, who thought it was important that their voice was heard.

Thank (insert deity of choice) it’s Friday

30 seconds ago I was in work mode, now it is the weekend so I’m laughing, possibly hysterically, though not literally (people would stare)  🙂

Earworm for today is the guitar part to Parisienne Walkways by Gary Moore and Phil Lynott which has been running around in my head all morning.  I don’t really know the words to it so it’s just the solo on repeat.

Currently reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo  It’s good so far but I’ve only just started it so I’ve not really got into it yet.

The sun is shining and my mood is up so all is well with the world.  Happy Friday!

Happy Birthday to me! Another year older, another year wiser (possibly). I can’t help feeling that my life is passing me by

Stuck in the moment?

I finished college last thursday and have to wait maybe two weeks to hear if I can get my old job back after my career break.  Without any structure the days seem to drift past aimlessly.  I don’t feel like getting stuck into anything and I am simply waiting to see what will happen next.  Feeling a bit lost and lonely at the moment.

They say life begins at 40 and I do believe in this, however I was not intending to take it quite so literally.  In January I turned 37 and a half and found myself free and single (although not so young!) for the first time in 15 years.  Tomorrow I sit the last exam of my 3 year degree and so I am ready to start over, jumping in with both feet, or maybe being slightly pushed ;).
